Many years ago on this site stood the Cenotaph honoring the fallen soldiers from many wars. The cenotaph has been moved to the far side of the river in Tupper Park.

As a child going to school n Milton, we would all march from the school across the bridge to lay a wreath at this cenothaph. The school has been closed and children are now bussed to another town for school.

The church that once dominated the view here was deemed in need of repair. The steeple was dangerously compromised. It was decided to remove the steeple and move the church to a now foundatin. During the move a wind gust hit the steeple in mid-air and caused the crane boom to snap, dropping the steeple onto the road. Luckily no one was injured. The rest of the move went fine and the church is n its new footings.

It is no wonder as we get older we look back and see all the changes and some of us head home humming the song "Changes"
