This is cache is part of a series dedicated to the suburb of Curtin. It is bounded by the Cotter Road, Tuggeranong Parkway, Yarra Glen and a green strip between it and Lyons to the south. There was previously a series around this suburb and my geokids and I felt it would be fitting to create another as we love this area so much and wanted to share it. I will add more in time.
This inner south neighbourhood is named for the Right Honourable John Joseph Curtin (8 January 1885 – 5 July 1945). Curtin was Australia’s 14th Prime Minister. Regarded by many as one of Australia’s greatest Prime Ministers, Curtin served as a wartime Prime Minister serving from 7 October 1941 until his death on 5 July 1945. The first houses in Curtin were built in 1964.
This cache is located in a charming little park that my kids and I regularly frequent on sunny weekends, but stealth will certainly be required given the nearby houses. Easy parking. Please ensure the cache container is returned to its hiding spot. BYO pen.
FTF honors go to Tankengine - Congrats!!!
