This cache is located outside one of the oldest buildings in Battle Mountain, eligible for the national historic places. The charming brick building was built by the Masons in 1890. It has housed many businesses from Marcy's House of Flowers to Jazznastics as well as beauty salons. It survived a fire in the basement in the 1990s.
FTF will find a 1943 steel penny. In 1943, the US stopped using copper for pennies in order to help the war effort. The pennies were made out of zinc coated steel during that year.
