One of the prettiest sunsets in Athens is sitting on the church ball field and watching the sun set over the church. I suggest you time your caching to take advantage of that opportunity.
The congregation of Forest Heights Baptist Church will celebrate 73 years of ministry to the Athens community and during 2019 they celebrated 35 years at the current location.
Feel free to attend Sunday services while in search of this geocache.
On the church property is a large ball field that is used for softball, football, soccer, rugby and other sports. The bottom line is that many times that there will be mugglers around so stealth will be required. You will be in foul territory but still be careful of the long ball.
There is plenty of parking on the side streets or in the church parking lot (when there are no services) but this is a little more difficult than the typical park and ride. I have increased the difficulty .5 due to finder feedback. Enjoy your time looking high and low.
You are looking for a pill bottle. There is room for a log, small tradeables and not much else. Bring your own pen.
