Search high and sLOcum (2) Traditional Cache
Reviewer Hilts: Since I haven't heard from the owner, and the cache is apparently gone or in dire need of maintenance, I'm reluctantly archiving this cache. If the owner wishes to reactivate this cache, please e-mail me at reviewerhilts@gmail.com and I'll un-archive it as soon as I can.

This is a relocation and improvement of the "Search high and
sLOcum" cache originally placed July 28, 2002. This is a good one
for beginners and even a little fun for the more "experienced"
cacher and can be done at night. This is alongside a cemetary- our
relatives are here- so please be respectful.
We placed this cache because there is such a great history in
this area involving Frances Slocum, captured at age 5 by the
Delaware Indians. Our children are direct descendents of Frances
Slocum and Shepoconah, a Miami Indian Chief. We think you'll enjoy
the peacefulness of the area.
An interesting note is that this cemetary and monument were
relocated here around 1964 when the Mississinewa dam was being
built. The original Deaf Man's Village and family cemetary is now
underwater somewhat near the Miami Primitive Campgrounds and the
beach parking lot.
The cache is in a camoflauged square shaped, plastic gallon paint
container with a screw-on lid. Please be sure to tighten the lid
and replace it as-found (or better if need be).
Please sign the log book.
