This cache is an ammo can placed in memory of our friend and coworker, Larry V. Larry was a proud member of the Tohono O'odham tribe of American Indians. He was a dedicated husband, father, friend and coworker. Larry was strong, quiet man who chose his words wisely and spoke only when he needed to. He was a brilliant Emergency Room technician who loved his patients and his work family. He was an avid backpacker and hiker. Each year he joined 5 of his ER nurse and paramedic friends from Dallas, Texas for a week long trip, and he dearly loved this area of Arkansas. His wish was that when he died, those friends would spread his ashes from the bluff above Steel Creek Campground. On June 14th, 2017, one year after his death we carried out that wish for him and placed this cache as a further tribute to him. Please sign the log and celebrate the life of our friend with us.
