Today's tiny hamlet of Oysterville was once a thriving small town, with stores, saloons, businesses, banks and also boasted the title of county seat of Pacific County. Today's Oysterville is a much smaller part of county activity than it once was, but still retains much of the historical presence of its early years.
This cache was placed as part of a series of locations, events and characters that shaped the early days of frontier justice in Pacific County.
In memory of Laurie Freeman aka geocache reviewer "Wizard of Ooze", aka geocacher Half-Canadian and Scooter the Wonder Dog. This geocache was originally placed by her for the enjoyment of the geocaching community.
