Geocache Description:

While on a day walk from Kiwi Road to Fosters Hut with NZDi we noticed a large natural feature about 20m off track that just screamd 'place a cahe here', so we did.

The cache is located approximately two thirds of the way along the track from Kiwi Road to Fosters Clearing, so should take you just over an hour to get there if going in that direction. If going the other way, allow just under an hour once you,ve reached Fosters Clearing, but don't forget to do the side-trip to Fosters Hut first.

For the benefit of 'the Seagnoid' at the time of placing, Kiwi Road could only be accessed from the Barletts Creek end as the road is still closed for logging fron the Onamalutu end.

As you approach GZ look uphill and you will notice the large feature mentioned earlier. Head uphill once your GPS device indicates the distance to cache is getting further away, it is an easy climb in open bush.

The cache is a Menthos Mint tin wrapped in black insulation tape with a Rite-in-the-Rain log strip in a plastic ziplock bag. Your GPS reception will be a bit scratchy here, so use the hint and your geocaching instincts to narrow down the search area. BYOP
