Toukokuinen viikonloppu 19-21.5.2017 oli historiallinen Nurmeksen saarella. Nimittäin tällöin saarella vieraili ensimmäistä kertaa ei-suomalaisia kätköilijöitä.
Ryhmän nimi oli "Team Uppland-Ruotsi" ja se koostui kahdeksasta kätköilijästä Tukholman ja Upsalan alueelta Ruotsista. Usean kuukauden valmistelujen jälkeen ryhmä rantautui Nurmekselle perjantai-iltapäivällä ja palasi mantereelle 46 tuntia myöhemmin saaliinaan 98 kpl T5-kätköä tilastoja komistamassa.
Tästä huikeasta seikkailusta muistuttamaan kätkimme muutamia kätköjä tuleville kätköilijöille löydettäväksi.
In memory of Team Uppland-Ruotsi
The weekend of 19-21 May 2017 was an memorable one in the history of Nurmes. It was namely then that Nurmes for the very first time was visited by non-Finlandic cachers.
The group called themselves "Team Uppland-Ruotsi", and consisted of 8 cachers from the Stockholm and Uppsala area in Sweden.
After months of great preparations we landed on the island on Friday afternoon, and returned to the mainland 46 hours later with 98 more T5 caches to fill our statistical grids with.
To mark this huge adventure for the future we left a few caches to be found by coming visitors.
