The owner of a nearby restaurant pointed out a spot to me high, up on his wall, explaining that that was how high the water came up during Hurricane Sandy. With that in mind, I tried to make this cache strong enough to survive the next storm that surges through here.
I've eyed this spot for years and asked Rootsearcher if I could have this one and she was gracious enough to agree. We decided that instead of me adopting her cache, that I would create a new cache and place it in a different spot, so that finders can have a new type of challenge, add a find to their numbers and enjoy the "Nautical Mile" all at the same time!
Please note: When you have the cache in your hand and look back at the giant cache holder, please know that this is the way I found him. I did not touch or remove anything from him. The cache and the "camo" are both mine. It's too bad that this one is so easy, but sometimes you have to sacrifice difficulty for a great location.
- PLEASE use stealth, especially AFTER finding the cache! -
