Welcome to my Camp and Cache series, CAC for short.

This is a circular route of just under 3 miles, along quiet country lanes and dirt tracks above the beautiful Yorkshire town of Holmfirth. Along the circular section there are 20 new caches, with a couple of established caches to collect too. The caches can be done in any order, and there is plenty of parking at the junction of Ramsden Road/Cartworth Moor Road or Cartworth Moor Road/Gill Lane.

There are an additional 8 caches along a footpath and green lane, for those of you who enjoy a bit of 4x4 off roading, which lead down to Ramsden reservoir, where there is already another series of caches. This section is a particularly beautiful walk of just over a mile, with stunning vistas across the hills and down the valley. N.B. There is currently some road works taking place on Kiln Bent Road along the side of Riding Wood Reservoir and that section of the road is closed to foot and vehicular access (from 06/02/2017 for approx 54 weeks), but the rest of the reservoir is accessable.

Please do not attempt to drive along the green lane (Ramsden Road) in anything other than a vehicle fit for off roading.

All co-ordinates are an average. There are very few tricky hides, and as such I have not included many hints. The series is set in stunning countryside with fabulous, far reaching views and an abundance of wildlife, please take the time to enjoy your surroundings.

Enjoy!
