It was some time in 2006 when we first contacted Liz and Bruce who were then full time travellers, roaming the country from one side to the other. We were interested in their lifestyle and thought that we could do something similar one day. The next contact was at the first Australian mega event in Wagga Wagga in April 2010 where we finally met them and inducted them into our PPRASS Family..
We have been friends ever since and have had numerous meetings in Adelaide, other mega events and then at our home in Port Macquarie whenever they pass and the stars align.
In 2013 Liz and Bruce decided to settle down once again and they chose RV Homebase in Maryborough. We still remember the plans that they showed us during one visit and we could see that they were very excited about the prospect of having their very own "Castle". And what a home it was going to be - nothing like this one!
We visited the complex in August 2013 and were impressed with the concept and the quality of the few houses that were already built. Now 4 years later we are visiting Liz and Bruce for a few days - we are camped on what is called "Hard stand"! Don't understand what that means, but the facilities here are first class!
In that famous movie - "The Castle", Darryl Kerrigan asked his family, “how’s the serenity?” while looking over his domain and I think you will also be impressed at the serenity of this complex and the friendliness of the community.
So now all you have to do is go and find the L&B "Castle" which is a simple hide. Please ensure when replacing that there is sufficient cover to disguise the "Castle" from casual observation.
