What is a geocaching challenge without a terrain 5 cache? Some would say not much of a challenge, so we placed this cache way up in the air, so bring a ladder and be prepared to hoof it up the trail.
This cache is placed along the White Cloud Nature Trail, a 10.7 mile mountain bike / hiking trail consisting of a lot of loop backs that runs along the James River and the area south of Jamestown. Check this Google map for the path it takes. The trail passes through a lot of green spaces, some of it mowed, some of it tall grass. The wooded areas are primary dirt and can be slippery after a rain. Often times deer, birds, and other wildlife can be found along the trail. The terrain can be rough, so figure a solid 2.0 to 2.5 terrain rating for the entire length of the trail. The area east of the Frontier Village can sometimes provide a nice view the Jamestown Buffalo herd and provides different angle to view of the the Worlds Largest Buffalo Monument.
You are looking for a plastic ammo can filled with swag a little ways off the trail. Some bush whacking is required.
