Welcome to Tucker Nature Preserve. Following a request from my daughter, this is a traditional hide with a stamper for those into Letterbox caches. You will be looking for an ammo can in the woods off the walking trail.
It would be great to see pictures of the area during various times of the year.
Please replace as you found it. Stamp and Ink are not trade items. Thank you.
Tucker Nature Preserve is a nine-acre green space located in downtown Tucker, Georgia, across the street from the Tucker Walmart. The park contains a group picnic area, a half-mile walking loop, and a large grassy area for recreation. Parking is now available at the Preserve, so come on out for a visit to “Tucker’s Downtown Greenspace”!
Tucker Nature Preserve was purchased by DeKalb County in 2002 through the efforts of DeKalb County Commissioner Lou Walker at the urging of local residents. Sadly, Commissioner Walker passed away three weeks after the park’s dedication in 2004. The park sat undeveloped until 2011, when the Friends of Tucker Nature Preserve was formed through collaboration between Park Pride and DeKalb County. Since then, with the help of many volunteers and community groups, the Preserve has transformed from a closed, undeveloped lot into a beautiful, popular family-friendly Tucker destination.
With permission from the FRIENDS OF TUCKER NATURE PRESERVE, I have hidden 2 caches in this park. Enjoy the hunt.
