Göcek has many attractions for visitors arriving by sea; numerous bays, each more beautiful than the other and a scattering of picturesque islands surrounded by turquoise waters all combine to create an inviting vista. Göcek Bay’s fine selection of sheltered anchorages and harbours to explore makes Göcek a popular stop for vessels voyaging on the Mediterranean Sea and local accommodation includes four different marinas that should meet the needs of almost any yacht. Three of them are located in Göcek and one is in Büngüş bay. Two marinas are open all year round but the other two are operating only in the summer months because they don’t have a breakwater. There are two new marinas built ready for 2009 summer season. One marina in Göcek is offering private pontoons for customers and another marina is the first in Turkey to be built by floating pontoons, including a breakwater. Göcek has 605 berths in the water all year round and another 235 during summer months. One boatyard has 200 yachts capacity on the hard. All marinas have standard services like fresh water, wc & shower, electricity, telephone, internet, mooring lines and also other international marina facilities are available here. Also supermarket and taxi stations are located in each marina.
