Geocache Description:

**Please read description**...Fairly short walk during which you may encounter vegetation, mud and substantial water although a boat is of no help.  Careful walkers are welcome in the grounds. Please do not approach the stable block as there are residents, stable is not on the route given below.

**Please only attempt the cache during daylight hours as there are residents on estate**. Bit of a tricky cache this one, note terrain and summary. This was once a thriving Victorian estate with fifty gardeners, the house was finally demolished in the 50s however a few bits remain such as the doocot, the stunning stable block, the fernery plus boiler house etc.>

Boating Pond
An extended  family called Smith looked after the main house and it's occupants until it,s demolition,  it is said  the ghostly Grandmother of the family still hangs about the estate from time to time so keep your eyes open.

Park at the given waypoint, do not block the entrance, pass the West lodge and continue East without deviating from path till you come to the "clearing" coords, then use your GPS, initials only on log as tiny and do look out for Granny deep in the woods because she will be looking for you..
