TokyoShouka University's predecessor, Hitotsubashi University's predecessor, was held in this area. This station was born as the nearest station of the university.
At the time the station was established, it was a station of Tamaoken Railway Company, but it became a station of Seibu Railway by consolidation etc. of railway company.
Currently this station is merged with Kodaira Gakuen station which was several hundred meters north side, it becomes Hitohashi Gakuen station and the place is different.
Shops are lined up in the place where the station was then.

商大予科前駅は、西武多摩湖線にかつてあった駅です。
一橋大学の前身である東京商科大学予科がこの地にでき、その最寄り駅として誕生しました。
駅ができた当時は多摩湖鉄道株式会社でしたが、鉄道会社の併合等で西武鉄道の駅となりました。
現在この駅は、北側にあった小平学園駅と併合され、一橋学園駅となり場所も異なっています。
駅のあった場所には商店が立ち並んでいます。
しかし、駅前広場であった場所は現在も三角形の植え込みを持つ交差点として残されています。
私はこの特徴的な三角形の場所の近くにキャッシュを設置しました。
