Geocache Description:

A short walk along a marked foot path to Fordel , situated about a mile west of the village of Cousland. At a cross roads with the A6124 and a minor sroad to Dalkeith. This short walk take you to some small ponds.

This path remained a curiosity until I decided to explore and found three Ponds at the middle of the walk. There are bull rushes and Iris growing in abundance. the area is teaming with wildlife and flora. This cache is just a short step of the path into the trees. This is hanging around in style, but do not linger.

Parking for one or two cars at the start of the walk, do not block the gate please. If children are going, take care, the parking area is just at the side of a road. NOTE PLEASE the start of this walk can be very muddy and puddles can lie if it has been raining. wellies may be required
