The American Revolutionary War (1775 – 1783) took place between Great Britain (England & Scotland) and her Thirteen Colonies.
The colonies were:

Colony Province of New York,
Province of New Jersey,
Province of Pennsylvania,
Delaware Colony,
Province of Maryland,
Colony of Virginia,

Each year, the United States celebrates the “Independence Day” national holiday. Please offer a moment for the brave “Delaware Soldiers” who paved the way for Delaware to become the FIRST to ratify (sign) the Constitution of the United States. Delaware is literally and undisputedly “The First State”.
This geocache is a 2-stage multi. Stage 1 is a virtual stage. At the listed coordinates, you will find a plaque commemorating the Delaware Soldiers of the American Revolutionary War. (There is a short walking trail adjacent to stage 1.) The geocache is located at stage 2.
