Geocache Description:

Gumbooya Reserve is located in the Northern Sydney suburb of Allambie Heights. Although surrounded by houses, and with a main road running alongside, it remains an important aboriginal rock engraving site. A large rock platform features a fine collection of rock engravings including whales, figures and many fish. Extensive scenic views can also be enjoyed from the elevated position directly behind the barricaded engravings.

Parking: Street parking is available in Gumbooya Street. GZ is located at the end of Gumbooya Street.

Public Transport: State Transit Bus 142 & 174X (peak hours only) and Forest Coach Bus 280 run along Allambie Road. Alight at the Corkery Crescent (southern end) bus stop, then follow Corkery Crescent and Gumbooya Street to reach GZ.

The cache can be accessed without entering the area within the rock engraving barricades. This is a "log only" cache, and you will need to bring your own writing implement.

Please replace exactly as found, and please No Spoilers !

We hope you enjoy our tenth geocache placement.
