Visit one of the fountain sculptures that remains from Whitemarsh Hall. Notice how the houses around this traffic circle also have bits of the estate architecture incorporated into their property. You can (and should!) read more about the history of Whitemarsh Hall. When tract homes were built in the '50s, '60's, '70's and '80s at least the builders didn't remove all traces of the site history. If you drive over to Paper Mill Road and Stotesbury Avenue, you can spot the gate house from the estate, with a carriage height door in attached tower, now a private residence.
Cache is placed for an easy grab about 40 meters from the fountain. You're on a residential street, so don't act too suspiciously. But if you encounter muggles, this is a great time to educate them about the game of Geocaching! Face the rising sun and look for a sign.
The 1.5 terrain rating reflects the one curb a wheelchair would have to ascend. Cache is a micro so bring your own pen.
