After their thrilling morning out, Jasper and Gordon-James headed back to the camp constantly stopping to listen and see whether the wolf-like creature was still on their trail. Not seeing anything and with a few sighs of relief, the two couldn't wait to tell their grand-dad about the adventure!
"You two really sound like you had a memorable morning!" exclaimed Grand-dad "but why don't you take one of the canoes out to do some real Pirate treasure hiding!"
"Oh boy, why didn't we think of that!" said Gordon-James, "I'll be Captain No Beard and you can be my pet parrot Jasper"
"Parrot!? yeah right, you can call me Jolly Jasper Rodger. I will be the ship's captain and you can be my cabin boy. Now shiver me timbers and go scrub the poop deck!"
"Poop-deck.. hahahaha!" laughed the boys as they bounded down to the boat house.
Before picking a boat, they fashioned a pirate flag using a black garbage bag and some paper for the skull and crossed bones. "Now that's a jolly Rodger if I ever saw one matey" said Jasper!

After finally selecting the most sea-worthy vessel, the boys set out onto the calm waters in search of a suitable spot for their treasure. They hadn't rowed a boat before and so they spent some time going round and round in circles but after a little while they got the hang of it and awkwardly made their way across the dam.
At first they wanted to place the treasure on the island but then noticed a sign saying that the island was reserved for the birds..
"Aaaarrgh Jasper, if you had been my parrot then you could have gone on to the island!"
The boys giggled as they carried on to the far side of the dam in search of the perfect spot.
Finally they arrived at a spot that they thought would hopefully be an ideal pirate hiding spot.. "What if it falls in the water and drifts away?" said Jasper. "Hmmm, good point" said Gordon-James, "I know, let's tie a piece of that blue string around it so that it cant drift away!"
For the cache:
A canoe or boat will be required for this cache - do not try to get to it from the trail.
Make your way to the Glensheilings caravan park and hire one of the canoes. If you are staying over, the canoes and a row-boat are available for use.
Be aware of the submerged tree-stumps near gz - you don't want to damage the boats.
Please be aware of other muggles using the resort.
Don't forget your pen!
