THE HULK aka Bruce Banner
Debut: The Incredible Hulk (1962)
Home: On the run
Likes: Puppies, elastic-waist pants
Dislikes: Anger management, Bruce Banner
Stan Lee and Jack Kirby doubled down on the popularity of the Thing, the Fantastic Four's brickhouse, by making this behemoth an introverted scientist whose repressed rage can transform him, Jekyll-and-Hyde-style, into an ogre of calcified id. The Hulk's sharp, sudden jabs toward violence are a metaphor for itchy-trigger-finger militarism, but it's Kirby's brilliant design that strikes a chord in all of us. The big green guy intentionally resembles a baby in a diaper during a crying fit - and that hits on our capacity to feel infantile during emotional stress. In sensitive Mark Ruffalo (plus an army of CGI maestros), the hero finally has an onscreen ambassador worthy of this most psychologically trenchant Avenger.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Note For New Geocachers:
Join us and enjoy some adventures of Geocaching. Please don't move or vandalize the container; simply replace the geocache where and how you found it. Before you leave, make sure the geocache is completely out of sight. The real treasure is discovering the location, signing the log book, trading even or up with personal SWAG and sharing your experience with everyone online in your "found it" log. You might even find a trackable item!
Note For All Geocachers:
In your log, please indicate the condition of the container without giving any clues to its hiding spot. (post no spoilers please) This will assist with my maintenance to help provide a pleasant experience for future seekers. Please replace the container in the same hiding spot as you found it. If the container is not found, please log your DNF and do not replace the geocache with a "throw down."
Which Log Type To Use:
Please use the appropriate log type that best describes your seeking experience for this geocaching.
