Geocache Description:

The building before you pays homage to Washington Irving (April 3, 1783 - November 28, 1859) biographer, historian, diplomat and author of short stories "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" among others.  He also popularized the name "Gotham" to mean New York City and the name "Knickerbockers" which the NY Knicks got their name.

As this is a residential neighborhood, please be discreet and respectful.  You're looking for a micro and the hint will give it away!
