W.A.R.P. 4 - Zestafoni Municipality
W.A.R.P. stands for Whisky07, AsatruDD, Rico906090 and Predator1337. Between June 26 and July 2, 2017 we came to Georgia on a mission. We wanted to be the first ones to find GC61HGH and we wanted to hide some Geocaches in the area. Before us, there were 89 caches in Georgia - after our trip there will be more than 100. We want to show some interesting spots that we visited on our trip and we also want to make geocaching a bit more interesting. So you will not only find some easy magnetic film container but you will often have to do something more for a log.
We started our trip in Tbilisi. After that, we had to cover quite a few kilometers to get to Lentekhi via Gori and Kotaissi. On your way, you will see a lot of small shops and traders along the road that seem to sell products that are specific to the regions. You might see freshly baked/smoked bread with chocolate or basketmakers. The road from Surami to Sestaponi/Zestafoni is actually quite good but the traffic is madness. On our way to the mountains, the roads were nearly empty, but on our way back to Tbilisi, it was full of cars that were overtaking each other constantly, despite the oncoming traffic. Its fascinating to see (as a German) that there are still almost no accidents.
The cache is hidden near a statue that can be seen easily from the road. There is a lot of debris lying around, so be careful where you put your feet. Look ate the new Spoiler picture from March to find the cache.
