W.A.R.P. 5 - Bridge over troubled waters
W.A.R.P. stands for Whisky07, AsatruDD, Rico906090 and Predator1337. Between June 26 and July 2, 2017 we came to Georgia on a mission. We wanted to be the first ones to find GC61HGH and we wanted to hide some Geocaches in the area. Before us, there were 89 caches in Georgia - after our trip there will be more than 100. We want to show some interesting spots that we visited on our trip and we also want to make geocaching a bit more interesting. So you will not only find some easy magnetic film container but you will often have to do something more for a log.
We started our trip in Tbilisi. After that, we had to cover quite a few kilometers to get to Lentekhi via Gori and Kotaissi. The road from Kotaissi to Lentekhi is still very good and you dont need a 4x4 drive. Still, there might be some spots where some rocks and mud have come down onto the street and you will encounter more and more and more cows on the street that just dont care about the traffic. On your way, you will now see the Zcheniszchali River by your side. It gets its water from the snowfields and glaciers high up in the Caucasian Mountains and turns into a wild stream in spring and early summer. With temperatures around 35° in the valley, that is easy to understand.
It would have been to easy to hide the cache on the bridge. Instead, you have to do something more for it. Be careful where you put your feet and dont drop the PET- tube. It will fall into the river and then it would be gone and hard to replace.
