The Monterey Pass Battlefield Park is a natural, cultural & historical park located in Washington Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania that commemorates Pennsylvania's second largest Civil War battle. The Battle of Monterey Pass was fought along a rugged mountain ridge, in a blinding thunderstorm, during the middle of the night on July 4 & 5, 1863, just one day after the close of the battle of Gettysburg. The trails where the Geocach is located is easy to navigate and the plastic box contains several fun filled items that will help you learn a more about the history of our park.
