R.E.C.L.A.I.M. #2 - 'The Power' Traditional Cache

This series of caches is located on a pleasant walking loop between Poolsbrook and the Markham Vale reclamation site. The caches are placed just off the paths, with the permission of Chesterfield Council and Derbyshire Council. The R.E.C.L.A.I.M. series is a collection of Revamped Everyday Containers Lurking Amidst Industrial Memories, as the caches are in an area littered with signs of old railway links, mining and industrial areas, although this has now been flattened as part of the reclamation and you can see huge new buildings being created.

Continuing along the path from the first cache and you will go over a subtle flat bridge where the marshes and ponds go under the old railway track. Right after this there is a flat concrete area with signs of old buildings, communication lines and other removed industrial objects, all overlooking a quiet square lake off to the left. This lake was originally created after digging out tons of gravel for the construction of the M1 motorway.

The cache is hidden near trees, about 20 metres from the corner of the concrete ground, towards the tall reeds just beyond the lake and pile of concrete railway sleepers. It is at ground level between a small tree and a concrete square, and is now a powerful looking tube. It does include a small pencil and log sheet, with room for small trackables perhaps. Please re-cover with stones to help hide from muggles.

After finding the cache, the path continues on between the trees from the flat concrete wasteland, NOT down the old railway line stones.
