ITA: fu realizzato nel 1897 nel comune di Strozza in una strozzatura del fiume Imagna allo scopo di canalizzare l'acqua destinata alla centrale elettrica di Clanezzo. Ora la centrale è dismessa e sul ponte, adeguatamente adattato e messo in sicurezza, passa la il percorso ciclo pedonale. La struttura, molto elevata, si erge con 6 arcate in pietra calcarea che formano un segno di contrasto distintivo e suggestivo tra il fitto manto boschivo che circonda l'area Il ponte canale riceve la denominazione dal nome del progettista Ing. Chitò al quale si devono anche interventi urbanistici nella città di Bergamo nel corso della prima metà del 900
ENG: the bridge was build in 1897 in the village of Strozza on a nearrowing of the river Imagna, in order to channel the water used to feed the Clanezzo Hydroeletctric Power Plant.The Plant was been dismantled and the bridge, restored and secured, is now part of the cyle - foot Trial. The structure is very high and spans over the river with 6 limestonearches that form a stricking contrast with the dense forest in the surrounding area. The bridge canal takes its name from its enineer and builder , Mr Chitò, who also contributed to the urbanisation of Bergamo in the early 1900s.
