Geocache Description:

This cache is located 'Over the water' in Cahersiveen and can be a quick park-and-grab. But it's worth taking your time to explore the area, Ballycarbery castle and the two nearby ringforts.

This cache continues our mini-series "Over the Water". The term "Over the water" is used by locals to describe the area north and west of Cahersiveen that is accessed by crossing the bridge over the Fertha River. It boasts nice beaches, two ringforts, a castle and this lovely little harbour and beach.

Cuas Crom is a safe place for swimming and is usued throughout the year by locals and visitors alike, and that includes the annual Cahersiveen Christmas swim which takes place here.
