Welcome to the New York Public Library system! This cache has limited hours of availability, which are listed below on the cache page.
***WOW!!! Geocachers who have found at least 4 NYPL caches are eligible for a Level 1 bronze pathtag! Geocachers who find at least 8 NYPL caches are eligible for a Level 2 silver pathtag! And any geocachers that have found 12 or more NYPL caches are eligible for the Level 3 GOLD pathtag as well! If you think you qualify, please send me a note and I will get your tag(s) out to you.
Did you know that every branch of the New York Public Library offers free Wi-Fi? That's great news for all geocachers visiting from out of town!
Update: May 2017 - I have been notified by the New York City Geocaching Community that the NYPL Series of caches has won the award for Best Series in NYC in 2016!!
Update: February 2018 - I have been notified by the New York City Geocaching Community this cache has been nominated for Best Letterbox in NYC in 2017!!
In order to find the letterbox you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Find the box. At the posted coordinates you will find a blue box. Look inside for the location of the letter.
Step 2: Find the letter. The letter will explain how to find the letterbox.
Step 3: Find the letterbox. Sign the log book. Stamp the stamp book with your stamp if you have one. Use the stamp in the box to stamp your book. If you do not have a book, I have left some pre-stamped cards behind for you to take.
***Step 4: Please remember to leave the stamp and the inkpad in the box. They are NOT SWAG.
