The Shelter Traditional Cache

A short series of caches around Talbot green. Many people visit the Shopping Park, but perhaps you may not have explored the town. This little series is intended to show you around some ‘other’ places that the town offers and a little about recent developments and history of the town.

Just a quick cache, which provides a little break from shopping..

You may have visited the Talbot Green Shopping Park and wondered what this strange erection was...

Prior to it’s installation there was an issue with youths gathering by a local convenience store, so the Parish Councillors put forward the idea of a shelter which would give the youth in the area their own meeting place.

The Parish council submitted the planning application and the Llantrisant Community Youth Shelter was erected in 2005, at a cost of £2300.

Parking available at the Shopping Park (currently limited to 4 hours). Alternative unrestricted free parking available along the roadside in Ely Valley Road

Parking note: I advise you NOT to use the small, surface car park by the Bus Station as there is a strict 30 minute wait period controlled by ANPR cameras.
