Enoch Root - the seemingly immortal alchemist, physician, former US Navy officer and sometime priest - visited Palmerston North recently. The reason for his visit isn’t recorded but he left behind a geocache. Its location is encrypted using the same coding system he used in the Philippines in 1942. The exact coding convention Enoch used isn’t recorded either, but he’s known to use a 3-letter pass word based on his nickname, Enoch the XXX. The coded sequence below generates the 15 digits of the coordinates, in the order shown.
South XX degrees, XX.XXX minutes, East XXX degrees XX.XXX minutes.

Access to the final isn't immediately obvious from a map or Google Earth. If you start at the Fitzherbert Bridge (the first co-ords) the route will become apparent. Other access points include parking areas shown on the map. You can reach the final by walking or cycling. (Or you could cross the river by kayak!) There is no need to cross private property. Please replace natural cover as found.
Thanks jimmynz and Gr33nslime for the help with playtesting and development (without knowing what the final coded co-ords would be until published!) And FTF! And thanks also to TwigNZ for retrieving the container from the recent landscaping works and hiding it away pending completion.
