Treska is a 1978 recreational lake in the municipality Saraj, located in the western part of Skopje. It covers a surface of 136.000 m2, it is 160cm - 3m deep and has the capacity of 10.000 bathers. The entire complex was built in 1978 and was financially supported by Skopje inhabitants. Due to the polluted water, the lake has been closed to bathers since 1998. However, there is an initiative to make this lake a popular summer attraction for Skopje inhabitants.
