Geocache Description:

Located within a mile from Saratoga Race track so plan around trafic in July and August.

This cache is located in an area of Saratoga Spa State Park that most folks don't know about. If you park at the parking coordinates I have listed its a very short walk to the cache. The most obvious trail will take you to within 100 feet of the cache.

The Saratoga Spa State Park manager is aware of this cache and its location. I moved it in the spring of 2007 to this location at their request to keep searchers from accidently wantering onto the endangered butterfly habitat. At the parking lot look at the sign with a map indicating the protected habitat and stay clear of it. The protected area is well to the south of the cache location.

This cache has an official geocache site permit issued by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Saratoga Spa State Park office, on 9 May, 2007 and expiring 9 May 2009. Permit number GEO SS-07-003-JG
