Richmond Raceway was a trotting ground in East Fremantle. It is now mostly housing but Raceway Park is in the centre of the area. Also retained are parts of the entrance gates on the Marmion/Silas (with signage) and George/Moss corners (with turnstiles). The latter has the name George Booth Park, and is named for the 1943-1958 President of the Committee of the Fremantle Trotting Club.
I have visited this interesting location several times before and tried unsuccessfully to locate the Cache that was hidden here. Last Wednesday I was in the park with the Fremantle Hash House Harriers and decided to take another look, without even looking at the App on my iPhone I wandered over to the location I tried last time I was there and within seconds had the cache in hand, it took longer to find a pen amongst a group of runners to sign the log. You can imagine my surprise when I went online to discover the Cache no longer exists!!!!! Well it does and clearly had been all the time. It has been replaced exactly as I found it. If the original owner would like to take over their old cache let me know if not I'm happy to call it mine!!
