For the first (hopefully not last) time, The Kawartha Cachers September Breakfast will be held in beautiful, downtown Fenelon Falls, "The Jewel of the Kawarthas". Exact location is the Royal Canadian Legion, on Veterans Way. There is limited parking along the street in front of the Legion, and some behind the Legion. However, you could also park at the Community Centre, just to the West.
Breakfast will be buffet style, and will run from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. Seating is limited to 70 people, and reservation cut-off date is Tuesday, September 5. More information about breakfast is available on the owner's Profile Page.
Currently, Fenelon Falls does not contain a lot of caches. In honour of this inaugural event, Harvey and I have been checking out various areas where we could place new chaches. Sadly, we regret the fact that it seems like almost every good spot we found was totally surrounded by poison ivy. Happily, the City has already sprayed some of those areas. We have done our very best to find the best alternatives. However, please accept our apologies for any postings that may include the line "poison ivy may be present", and please dress accordingly.
UPDATE: CoKL has been spraying for poison ivy and wild parsley, so some areas will not be as bad as we feared.
