Geocache Description:

To Swift Current (TSC) caches can help you enjoy our grassland as you travel between Medicine Hat and Swift Current. These caches are located along the Trans Canada Highway, at pullouts for safe caching. All are family friendly, generally more accessible to east bound traffic, and most are large enough for trading items. No need to cross fences, but a couple of them require a short drive to points of interest off the TCH.
Enjoy the beauty of the rolling prairies as you go.

Here is a second opportunity to stop and scan the hillsides, hoping to spot these great animals.

Bison, commonly called buffalo, are independent, fast on their feet, and bigger than you would believe. You don’t want to get too close. This ranch has huge pastures, with sturdy fences so the bison can roam almost naturally. The herds with cows and calves may be in sight from the highway, or they may be over the hills and far away. Frequently, the bulls, alone or in small groups, will hang out close to the highway. If you are lucky, you might get to see them wallowing, or sparring. Keep your eyes open. There may be other prairie residents around too.

Members of Medicine Hat’s South East Alberta Region Cache Hunters (SEARCH) will maintain these sites for the enjoyment of people travelling the TCH. A lot of great geocaching can be found in our corner of the world, and we invite you to share it.
