მედეა-ევროპული მოედანი
2007 წელს ევროპის მოედანზე დამონტაჟდა მედეას ქანდაკება. ძეგლი შეიქმნა უღიმღამო ქართველი მოქანდაკე დავით ხმალაძე. ქანდაკება სიმბოლოა კოლხეთის კეთილდღეობასა და სიმდიდრეს დასავლეთ საქართველოს უძველეს რეგიონში. ოქროს საწმისის მითი ძველ საბერძნეთსა და საქართველოს შორის ადრეული ურთიერთობების ისტორიას ასახავს. მედეა იყო კოლხური პრინცესა, ჯადოქარი, წინაპარი მედიცინისა და არგონავტების ხელმძღვანელი ჯეისონის მეუღლე.

Medea-European Square
The Statue of Medea was installed at the European Square in 2007. The monument was created by the famous Georgian sculptor, David Khmaladze. The sculpture symbolizes the prosperity and wealth of Colchis, the ancient region of western Georgia. The myth of the Golden Fleece reflects the history of the early relations between ancient Greece and Georgia. Medea was the Kolkhetian princess, magician, ancestor of medicine, and mate of Jason, the leader of the Argonauts.
