While attending a recent event in Decorah IA. the event sponsor, lagrac, had door prizes to give away. In order to earn your prize you had to answer trivia questions. Since this was Canada day the questions were all about our neighbors to the North. If you answered your question correctly you earned your doorprize. If you did not give the correct answer you had to place a cache with the only requirement that it had to be less than 50 miles from Decorah. I answered my first question correctly and received my prize, however I was foolish enough to raise my hand the second time. Wrong Wrong Wrong. Now I must place a cache, but since lagrac did not specify if it was from the center of Decorah, the edge of Decorah or inbetween I made the decision to place this cache using the starting point of where the event was being held. I drew my circle from that point and and came up with the following.
The distance in a straight line from where the event was held to this cache is 78.803971 km or a mere 48.9665 miles from the event, well under the 50 mile requirement.
Because I enjoy cemeteries so much I decided that this cache should be a cemetery cache. It was not too difficult to find a cemetery between Decorah and where I live, the difficult part however was to find one that both met lagrac's requirements and being close enough to where I live to monitor it in a timely manner.
This is an active cemetery so when in the cemetery be respecfull and if there is a burial service going on it may be best to come back another time. As with all cemetery caches do not cache at night.
Thank you lagrac, this cache would not be hidden here if it wasn't for you.
When you see lagrac be sure to thank him as well.
