As a teenager in the 80s my friends and I would visit this park to see how the other half live. Driving up from The Shire in our Datsun 120Y, we would blare Baba O'Riley (Teenage Wasteland) by The Who over the tinny car speakers - hence the name of the cache.
This park is a true hidden gem of Sydney, if you have never been there before, you are in for a treat. Make sure you notice and take heed of the philosophical graffiti on one of the signs.
The reserve is gated - opens at 7am and closes 1 hour after sunset. Bring your own pen to sign the log book.
