Ranzinger Vince-kilátó



A tatabányai Csúcsos-hegyen álló 30 méteres műtárgyat évtizedeken át a bányászok használták. Az aknatorony akkor még az innen 20 km-re található Muta-hegyen állt.A monstrum eredetileg a kas fel- és leengedésére szolgált. Amikor a kitermelés 1978-ban véget ért, az Országos Magyar Bányászati és Kohászati Egyesület Tatabányai Helyi Szervezete megmentette az ipartörténeti jelentőségű létesítményt, és Tatabánya városával összefogva, 1980-ban új értelmet nyert:
1978 februárjában huszonhat tatabányai szénbányász élete veszett oda egy súlytólég-robbanásban. Az ő emlékükre 1980-ban egy sima márványtábla helyett nagyon bölcsen inkább kilátót emeltek a 366 méter magas Csúcsos-hegyen.

A kilátót 2008-ban felújították, s akkor nevezték át Aknatorony-kilátóról Ranzinger Vince-kilátóvá. Az újnak látszó aknatorony most bárki számára nyitva áll, és 156 félelmetes lépcsőfok vezet fel a tetejére. Fent a remek kilátás mellett a bányászokat felhúzó kötelet tartó óriáskerekeket is megcsodálhatjuk.




Ranzinger Vince-lookout tower

The 30-meter artifact on the Csúcsos Hill in Tatabánya was used by miners for decades. The headframe was located at Muta Hill, 20 miles from here. The monstrum was originally used to lift up and down the miners. When production came to an end in 1978, the Tatabánya Local Organization of the Hungarian National Mining and Metallurgical Association rescued the industrial-historical facility and joined the city of Tatabánya in 1980 and received a new report:
In February 1978, twenty-six Tatabánya coal miners lost their lives in a mine explosion. In their memory in 1980, instead of a plain marble table, they were very wise an built a lookout tower on the 366-meter high Csúcsos Hill.


The lookout tower was renovated in 2008 and it was renamed from the Aknatorony-lookout tower to Ranzinger Vince-lookout tower. The new looking tower is now open to anyone, and 156 awesome stairs lead to the top. At the top we can also admire great view and the giant wheels that held the mining rope.
