#3 Lookin for a View - The Field Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

slmf0521: I was alerted by the previous finder (thank you!) to major logging activity here at my Lookin for a View series. Today I came by to see for myself. It's very sad. I've made the tough decision to archive the entire series.

Right now, the tree holding the cache is the only one left in the immediate area. So, obviously, this one is visible from the road and it would tough to find a close by hiding place.

Geocache Description:

A nice walk in the woods along a State Game Lands Road. If doing the whole series, it will be approximately a 2 mile round trip walk/hike.

 

I am an avid hiker and love to visit Pennsylvania State Parks, State Forests, and Game Lands.  When I visit, I am always on the lookout for a scenic mountain view.  This series of caches (5 in all) lead you to a pretty scenic mountain view I found in PA State Game Lands 26.  The parking for this cache is along Route 869 (Burnt House Road), just outside of Beaverdale, PA. (Use coordinates for #1 of this series, GC78DCB ( https://coord.info/GC78DCB ) As you are in State Game Lands, wear your orange!  Or better yet, save these caches for a Sunday, especially during the fall hunting season.  

Need another break?  If it's summertime and sunny, you're probably pretty hot, as this road doesn't have much shade.  Take a break and find a cache in this little patch of woods near a field/parking area..
