I have put some new things in the cache on 8/13/05. When you reach this cache, there are some benches nearby for an excellant view of the Grand River and the anchor on Dewey Hill. This location would be an exceptionally nice viewing area during Grand Haven's Coast Guard Festival which takes place during the first week in August. You may get to this cache by two ways. One you may take a boat (preferrably a canoe or kayak) and approach from the north shore of the Grand River. Or you may hike in from the parking lot located just before the entrance to North Shore Marina. If you are not in the mood for a nice hike, you can drive back behind and past North Shore Marina. There is a small parking lot back in there. If you hike in, be prepared to see deer, turtles, and maybe some snakes (non venomous) as I did when I placed the cache. Again please stay on designated trails. You may also wish to bring along a snack or picnic lunch as there are benches near the cache. The cache is a now a plastic bubble gum container with a screw on lid. It's original contents included: 1. A plastic boat (of course)! 2. Two water bomb balls. 3. Squirt gun 4. Finger Surfer Thingee. 5. Inflatable Beach Ball. I also hope to include a disposable camera at this cache. Please take your picture and I will eventually post them. Warning: If you choose to look at the hint, you could probably find the cache without using a GPS. Good Luck and Happy Caching
