Geocache Description:

This is a fun, family-friendly beginner geocache located along the trail at Hurkett Cove Conservation Area.

Partway down the trail at Hurkett Cove Conservation Area you will find several off-shoots, leading to either a lookout of Cranberry Bay, or a continuation of the trail. Eagle-eyed trekkers may notice some leftovers at the base of a mighty spruce tree. This Feeding Tree contains an active Bald Eagle's nest, and if you time your visit right, you may find "leftovers" at the base of the tree- or hanging from the branches above you! If you're really lucky, you may even see some eagles nested above (although you'll have to continue along the trail a bit further to get a clear look at the massive nest at the top of the tree).

But it is near the base of the Feeding Tree where you'll find the LRCA's official Hurkett Cove Conservation Area Geocache!
