Geocache Description:

Lakeside Beach State Park permit # 01-17 expires on 7-31-2019

Nestled along the southern shore of Lake Ontario sits a little slice of paradise called Lakeside Beach State Park. Lakeside has been a favorite destination of my wife and I over the years. Many camping days have been spent sitting in the campground looking out over the waters of Lake Ontario along with many nights sitting by the campfire in the cool night air. It is one of the premiere places to catch the magnificent sunset across the waters of Lake Ontario (see background image). During one of our recent camping trips I decided to explore the park more. What I found was a fantastic web of beautifully mowed trails all through the park. I hiked these trails numerous times through that week and just knew that a cache had to be here. So take a leisurely walk and enjoy the beauty that this park has to offer.

You will be looking for a 5 leg multi cache that will take you on a little over a 2 mile hike from start to finish. There will be no need to tear up the area, rip apart trees or destroy vegetation, or otherwise damage anything to find the legs of this cache. A keen eye and a good geosense is all you will need. Please make every effort to rehide the legs as good or better than you found them. The trails will have some swampy and muddy spots after a rain. BRING BUG SPRAY. Lakeside Beach State Park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. There is a fee to enter the park between 10am and 6pm during the peak summer season.

A special thank you to Park Manager Tom Roland for taking the time to meet to permit this placement!

There is a scratcher for the FTF! Enjoy
