This should be an easy find while walking the trail.
The Miami, Wabash & Erie Canal Tow Path Trail in this western region, between Napoleon and Florida, doesn't get as much improvement as areas east around Grand Rapids and Waterville but it is maintained and mostly accessible for hiking and biking (mountain type).
The trail is packed dirt so it can get muddy during inclement weather. The reason for the higher terrain rating is because you will need to watch out for protruding roots and animal burrows.
