The Appalachian Trail crosses the road nearby, providing access to a scenic vista at Mount Prospect or a three-mile hike to the Summit.
Wilbur’s shelter provides overnight accommodations to Appalachian Trail hikers, who often write about their trekking adventures in the register box.
