A small cache located above the ruins of the Oreville stamping battery. BYO pen.
The Oreville Stamping Battery operated from 1897 to 1918 and was used to crush ore in the gold extraction process. It produced approximately £40,000 of gold (roughly $10 million today). The cache is situated on the upper side of the ruins, which form, most notably, impressive walls on both the upper and lower sides of the road.
