Geocache Description:

Tgreen60 needed some caches placed for her summer school geocaching class and her son Troller decided to help her out! This myster cache is based on Trollers favorite summer movie "The Sandlot" and to claim this one you will need to be willing to learn a little about the game and the movie if you aren't already familiar with both! The final is revealed only after you have created the lineup and found Mr. Mertle!!!

Summer Sandlot Mystery Cache is based on the movie "The Sandlot", arguably the best baseball movie ever made!!! There will be several challenges to claiming this cache. First you will need to know or learn about baseball position numbering and second you will need to know the position of several players in the movie "The Sandlot" Then you will have to create a batting lineup in a specific order to reveal the location of Mr. Mr. Mertle.  Once you have found the required sandlot players you will have to plug their names into the batting order in the slot that associated with their name. You will also want to record their position number. Once the line up is done you can run the position numbers top to bottom to find the North and West coordinates that will lead you to find Mr. Mertle at the final stage.

Lets start out by finding Hamilton First! He is the cacher........ get it catcher cacher... I am such a Ham!!!! the hits just keep on comming!!! ok enough schtick humor!!!!

I just can't help myself!!! In all seriousness you can find Hamilton "Ham" Porter at N 42  30.671, W 88 11.804

The following URL will take you to an image of two line-up cards that can be printed: https://www.printyourbrackets.com/images/baseball-lineup-card.png
